Why did you join Cal Rotaract?

One of the reasons was because I just like to help the community that I’m in. In high school I was in Key Club, I was in several organizations to help with volunteering and I just wanted to continue that throughout college, which is why I joined Cal Rotaract.

Which committees did you join? What do you like about them?

I joined all of them. What I most like about the committees is that I get to connect with my fellow members of Cal Rotaract and also the fact that with those committees, you get to specify on a specific spot and help make the event even better.

What is your favorite service event and what did you like about it?

It was the Hot Meals because we got to serve food to homeless people at the local church. Just seeing how privileged we are as students just puts things into perspective. Just to see how other people are doing, especially coming to Berkeley where there’s a lot of gentrification going on.

How has Rotaract impacted you so far?

Rotaract has made me happy. Just helping people makes me happy. Service for others is something that makes me happy.

How do you picture yourself in 10 years?

Hopefully not dead! I want to picture myself happy in whatever I do. Ten years from now, I want to see myself in a place where I’m a happy person, a nice person that is also respectful. Hopefully I’ll get medical school done by then.
